Casa Reclusione Femminile on the Island of Giudecca
The tailoring coordinator teaches the inmates of the Giudecca Women's Prison cutting and sewing techniques, offering them creative and original work. Through daily commitment, they build skills and new opportunities for the future. Prison work is a bridge between inside and outside: it fosters awareness, dignity, and represents a concrete tool for rehabilitation. All inmates are regularly paid by the Cooperative.
The manufacturing process uses fine fabrics, highlighting creativity and attention to detail. Behind every sewing machine is a woman rediscovering her self-confidence. Guided by the coordinator, the students develop personal skills and artisanal savoir-faire, making each piece an authentic expression of the Banco Lotto n.10 method.
